Izzy has a degree in Sports Therapy from Worcester University and a Masters degree in Sports Rehabilitation from Middlesex University. Izzy set up ‘Izzy Branson Sports Therapy’ 5 years ago and the clinic has grown ever since.
Izzy has worked in top tier professional rugby for a number of years, at Wasps and now Worcester Warriors, where she provides a variety of soft tissue therapy treatments including massage, trigger point therapy, MET techniques and acupuncture for the players to alleviate pain and improve function to allow for optimal training. Izzy monitors the players Musculo-skeletal test scores daily and implements pre-habilitation interventions to prevent injuries occuring.
Along side her work with professional athletes, Izzy has a particular interest in working with the general population who struggle with lower back and hip dysfunctions, implementing soft tissue therapy to reduce symptoms and pain along side specific rehabilitation programs to target the cause of the dysfunction. Izzy hopes to start delivering workshops on a variety of topics such as hip mobility, core strengthening and shoulder mobility to pass on practical and knowledge based information.
